I’m Innes, the face behind Spotlight Electrical Services. I grew up in Argyll where I completed my apprenticeship with my Dad’s electrical business. I’ve been a qualified electrician since 2013, and I’ve been fortunate enough to spend a few years living, working and travelling in both New Zealand and Canada over the last 10 years. Throughout this time I’ve gained experience across a huge variety of electrical work, from multi-million dollar architectural homes to potato chip factories, and everything in between.

I moved with my partner to the Scottish Borders in 2025, with a strong desire to start my own electrical contracting business, and Spotlight was born. We aim to make your experience of hiring an electrician a wholly positive one, providing friendly and reliable service, transparent pricing and unquestionable quality of work that will stand up to the test of time.
