For a standard 3-bedroom property in Edinburgh, a full rewire typically takes 5–7 days. Larger properties or those with complex requirements may take longer. We'll give you a realistic, honest timescale once we've assessed the property — and we always work to minimise disruption to your household.

A consumer unit (fuse box) upgrade replaces an outdated fuse board with a modern unit fitted with RCD protection. You may need one if your existing board is over 25 years old, uses rewirable fuses rather than circuit breakers, or doesn't have adequate RCD protection. It's often required when selling an Edinburgh property or applying for a mortgage. We can assess your existing unit and advise you honestly.

All notifiable electrical work requires a certificate under Part P of the Building Regulations. As a registered contractor serving Edinburgh and the Lothians, we self-certify our work — meaning you receive a completion certificate directly from us. This is valid for insurance, mortgage and property sale purposes. Minor works that aren't notifiable still receive a minor electrical installation works certificate.
